Over the last 15 years, the use of wireless broadband has exploded. We now access data and information anytime, anywhere, while being able to make calls to anyone, anywhere in the world. To live our lives and run our businesses we have come to expect reliable, secure, and immediate access to information and data—all with one mobile device!
Although wireless broadband is pervasive in our personal lives, this is not the case for public safety. The men and women who protect us and respond to emergencies rely on voice communication not integrated with data and information. Imagine having one device for voice communications and multiple devices for data and information. The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) is working to build a nationwide broadband network to provide the communications infrastructure so our first responders have the public safety grade voice, data, and information capability that we enjoy in our personal lives.
Robbins Gioia is at the forefront of helping clients manage the transition to this "first in the nation" public safety broadband network. With our experience in Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection wireless programs, and hosting Policy Forums through The Performance Institute, we offer clients customized solutions to help transition from current voice communications to FirstNet.
